Chess

Chess is my oldest interest. I believe that it played a very important role in my decision to initially become a physicist and eventually a strategy student. Next to the obvious connection to Game Theory and clash of strategies of two competitors, chess shows how even a limited set of rules of actions in a static environment can lead to a rich set of strategies and their beautiful applications. The young boy in green sweater is me getting ready for my tournament as the third table of school team, Sisli Terakki School in Istanbul.
