Photography

Photography fascinated me with its capability of merging contrasts: It is an amazing art form which relies on colors, space and time. It is a static expression of a dynamic story. Below you can find a picture that I took at my school in Istanbul, German Highschool Istanbul. Which thoughts and feelings does it trigger for you?

When I look at it, I see the brightness far away which becomes darker and darker as you get closer to the camera. The bird, protagonist of the photo, unites the darkness behind it with the brightness ahead. Is it going to fly off? Or is it just contemplating? Although birds might not have complex thoughts, couldn't it be that this bird is the next Jonathan Livingston? What is his story, staring into the brightness far away?
